About us

The Thames Valley Construction Training Association can trace its roots back as far as 1967, with the foundation of the Reading Construction Training Group and the Windsor, Slough and District Training Group.

Following the amalgamation of the two organisations in 1971 to form the Construction Training Association, it became a Serviced Training Group of CITB (Construction Industries Training Board).

In October 1990, members voted to re-establish the association as an independent training organisation. As a result, in July 1991 the Thames Valley Construction Training Association Limited was formed as a limited company, which now has 60 member companies, and is actively involved in addressing the acute shortage of key tradesmen in the construction industry.
